Pre-deployment best practices Uninstalled all non-Datto backup software prior to using the Datto solution to avoid potential conflict. Disable any integrated backup solution that cannot be uninstalled. Run a virus scan prior to deployment. Agent software must be in exceptions on antivirus and firewall software on the production machine. All production machines must be capable of initiating and maintaining a gigabit speed or better connection to the Datto appliance. Ensure that the production machine reboot schedule no conflict with the backup schedule. All physical disks must be free of errors and fragmentation before deploying the Datto solution. Clustered shared volumes (CSVs) are unsupported. For Linux based machines latest kernel headers for their distribution must be installed.
